This is your chance to come see the new Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center and attend a free Glen's Gizmos event. Joel and Roxanna Thomas will lead a number of family friendly activities focusing on salmon science in the warehouse. Learn about the lifecycle of a salmon, study their anatomy and unique God given characteristics through a dissection, and complete a fish friendly art project.

Bring the entire family including parents!

Littlefoot is a baby russian tortoise and the newest member of the Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center. This curious tortoise belongs to Sydney. If you want to meet Littlefoot ask the St. John's for an introduction. Here is a video of Littlefoot with itty-bitty brothers and sisters.

Homeschool Resource Center Renovation Update

11/18/2017

We have been working very hard on the homeschool resource center renovation. The floor in the warehouse is nearly complete! While the rest of the construction is still far from over this is a significant milestone. Roxanna and I are heavily involved leading the renovation of the center and have been for more than a month. Thank you for your patience as we continue building this incredible resource for homeschooling families in the Vancouver area.

This past week volunteers gathered again and finished preparing and spreading the epoxy on the warehouse floor. This is a major step towards having a permanent science and art classroom in the center. The warehouse will also house a large auditorium, practice rooms, ceramics studio, computer lab, production and recording studio, dance studio and a space for indoor play.

Marine Biology Homework Due 11-20-2018

This week we are studying fish, including sharks!

On Monday 11-20-2018 we will not be having a quiz at the start of class, but I still want you to look through the following assignments. We changed this because: A - We have to much information to go over AND B - we didn't get you this homework early enough this week because we have been working hard on the warehouse renovation project.
