My name is Melissa Draszt, I am a mom of three sweet boys that I’ve homeschooled for 9 years. I enjoy teaching history through fun interactive projects that foster a relaxed learning environment, while utilizing problem solving and communication skills, they see their ideas come to life.
In Hands on History class we step back in time to experience historical events, figures and cultures through short lessons and fun hands-on activities. Our goal is to find a love and curiosity for history through creativity and fun! In class we will have 6-week sessions where students will have an opportunity to work individually and in groups to create fun projects each week that include crafts, food and games. Research shows pets can do more than just bring you joy and keep you company...It suggests they can also reduce risk of asthma and allergies, decrease stress, improve heart health, and even help children with their emotional and social skills. Using hands on activities, your student(s) will learn what it takes to care for the different pets, how to handle the animals and how to help each species thrive.
