Family Outdoor School Registration:
- You may ONLY register children if you are the parent/legal guardian. If bringing a friend the other parents need to register their own children under their own family's account.
- We are requiring payment online in advance this year and with that we offer payment plans to make it easier. We require a 20% nonrefundable deposit at the time of registration to hold your spot.
- 2 years and younger are free. During registration select the "2yrs and Younger".
- We apply steep family/sibling discounts which are automatically calculated and will show up in your cart before paying.
- Additional adults (ex: aunts, adult children, grandparents) beyond the first two in a family must be registered under their own accounts and do not fall under the family/sibling discounts even if staying in the same cabin.
- We have a 2 person minimum per family for each room. If registering only one person they either need to be registering to attend with a friend's family, or get a special exception to have their own room with only 1 occupant and will likely still be charged for two participants. To inquire please email [email protected]
- If finances are the primary factor keeping your family from signing up please see our tiered pricing.

*Actual cost is closer to $385 per person. Our volunteers donate their time, equipment and materials to provide this program at significantly reduced rates with family discounts. - Your registration includes program expenses such as boat trips, classes, remote operated vehicle exploration, a Tuesday evening arrival barbeque, Wednesday Breakfast, Thursday Breakfast, and Friday breakfast provided by Glen's Gizmos volunteers. We will let you know in advance what is on the menu so you can plan to supplement for kids as needed.
- You are on your own for lunches and dinners Wednesday and Thursday. You can bring food, we have shared refrigerators and kitchen spaces available. You can also eat out at one of several restaurants in town or use the barbeques on site.
- Cozy housing is provided by the Sunrise Resort with queen or king mattresses for adults and various arrangements for children. The rooms are small, we will do our best to fit you in and make sure you are comfortable. At times children will be placed two to a queen bed or on an extra mattress on the floor. Unless otherwise requested we will put your family in your own room. Linens and room service are provided. We will let you know one week before camp exactly what your room and sleeping arrangement looks like so you can plan accordingly. Please be patient with us as we are doing our best to fit in families of various sizes.
- Recreation options: A few kayaks are available for rent. There is a cobble beach to explore and hiking options just a short drive away.
- A hot tub is available!
- Celebration and worship times together.
- We will be bringing our boats for fun and learning right up to your back porch! Bring your swim suits if you want to get wet.
- Our Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are coming to this camp too! This is your chance to pilot them around reefs, look for awesome animals, explore wrecks and take them on a deep dive from the deck of our boat. (or your own backporch if the weather doesn't cooperate)
- Optional: If you want to eat out for supper Thursday night we will be taking people by boat to the local mexican restauraunt. They have a dock right on the water. Plan to bring $16-$22 per plate as that seems to be the average cost on their menu.
- Optional: If you are a certified SCUBA diver and familiar with diving in the cold water and limited vis then bring your dive gear and exposure suit (or rent some from your local shop) and join us. This is a dive resort after all, you can dive all week with cheap air fills on site!
- Optional: The local dive shop (YSS Dive) has generously agreed to bring gear and instructors to us at the motel! For an additional cost of $50 per participant they will introduce kids and adults to SCUBA diving! 10 year and up. Smaller children must be large enough to safely fit the dive gear at the discretion of the instructors. Though this is not a full certification course you will get to dive down the first several feet with an instructor. This allows you to see things like fish, oysters, shrimp, sea stars, sea anemones and even crabs. If you are interested in this check the corresponding box during registration then watch for more details via email a couple weeks prior to camp.
Starting at $195 per person. Additional family/sibling discounts will apply automatically at checkout.
