All about the HUB pets!
Does your child love animals and trips to the pet store?! Are you having trouble deciding which type of animal is best for your family? Maybe you just want a fun activity for the family involving lots of animals?!
We would love for your entire family to come and meet our HUB pets! This is not your average meet and greet, This workshop will not only put a smile on your face but also give your family useful information about seven common pet species found in the HUB.
This is a crash course since we cannot possibly cover all the information in two hours (and get cuddle time with the animals!). However, if your family would like to learn more, keep your eye out for the SPRING 2020 classes and be sure to reserve your spot early when registration opens. Come have fun, make friends (humans or animals!) and get hands on opportunities with seven different species around the HUB! Whether you already have a pet(s) or your looking for information to help you choose the right addition, this class will benefit all ages/students. Research shows pets can do more than just bring you joy and keep you company...It suggests they can also reduce risk of asthma and allergies, decrease stress, improve heart health, and even help children with their emotional and social skills. Using hands on activities, your student(s) will learn what it takes to care for the different pets, how to handle the animal and how to help each species thrive.

Briana Parks
I am Briana, a PNW born and raised nature enthusiast. My husband Dennis and I live here in Vancouver with our 3 young children and 22 pets. My formal education is in healthcare. I have been a CNA specializing in dementia for 10 years. I currently am the event coordinator at Kiwanis Camp Wa-Ri-Ki in Washougal, creating nature based educational events for families. I have always enjoyed teaching and we decided to begin our homeschool journey two years ago. I really love gardening, hiking, volunteering and exploring new places with my family. Animals
have a special place in my heart and I firmly believe when we nurture, heal and love an animal, we in turn are nurtured, healed and loved. Knowledge is power and both children and adults can learn so much from caring for an animal/pet. I am thankful and excited to be able to share my passion for animals with others and I hope I can enrich other families' and animals' lives through my classes.
