Elementary Hands-On History / Wed 11:30-12:30
8 weekly 60 minute classes per quarter.
- This class is very engaging and will be four quarters long (32 weeks). If space allows students can join in quarters 2, 3 or 4 even if they didn't get in to quarter 1.
In 2020 we made a change. Signing up for multiple quarters of the same class at once now saves money.
For multiple registrations please return to this page to register each student individually by adding them to your shopping cart.

- This class will not be graded and all work will be done in class.
- Parents are welcome to stick around, but don't have to be present during this set of classes.

Meet Our Instructor
Susy Noelck (Melissa will be on Maternity Leave and will look forward to returning in the Fall.)
From an early age I knew I wanted to work with kids. My favorite class in high school was a semester-long child development class. After my first two children were born, I returned to school to learn as much as I could about how children learn, grow, and develop, ultimately pursuing a graduate degree in Child Development.
I have been teaching children of all ages in some capacity for the past 20 years, including preschool teaching, church nursery, lay Bible teacher, speech and book clubs, and various homeschool co-op classes. We have been homeschooling our five children for 15 years. Our two oldest have graduated and were homeschooled through high school. I have also been teaching Human Development in the Adult Degree Program for Warner Pacific University for the past nine years. I enjoy teaching all ages. There’s something wonderful about being a small part of someone’s discovery of new information and experiences, and watching a love of learning blossom! I love history, especially in the form of stories and hands-on projects, and I am honored to help Melissa keep her amazing class going.
All teaching at the Homeschool HUB aligns with a Christian worldview and that God is evident through his creation. See: Romans 1:20. Please email questions to Joel@glensgizmos.com.
At Glen's Gizmos we have extensive resources and experience. We put this equipment and expertise to work for you. Expenses vary slightly. Most activities only cost between 12 and 16 dollars per class. Dissection specimens, ceramic glazes and specialized equipment are a significant portion of this expense in many classes.
