    Homeschool Family Summer Camp

    • What: An educational 6 day overnight event for the entire family.
    • When: June 11-16, 2017 OR July 16-24, 2017
    • Where: Camp Tilikum (Near Newberg Oregon)
    • Who: Homeschooling Families
    • Why: To get outside, make family memories and study God's created world through science
    • THEME: Agriculture and Science
    Glen's Gizmos is partnering with Camp Tilikum to provide an incredible summer camp experience for homeschooling families.  Stay on camp with your family in the retreat center, or in tent cabins at the northridge adventure camp sites.  During the day the youngest kids will be either with parents, or in classes while their older siblings attend either Tilikum Day Camp or Quest Adventure Camp.  The oldest students will be participating in classes and an adventure program of their own as well.  In the morning parents get a break, then after lunch participate in science teaching and relationship building workshops.  Later in the afternoon families regroup, eat supper together, enjoy one more class, worship, group games and memory making moments until bedtime.  The proposed schedule would likely run from on Sunday evening through Friday Afternoon.  Exceptional food, great special diet options (Tilikum does well at this) and housing will be provided.

    If we do this look for registration to open towards the end of March, 2017.

    Cost would probably be around $225-$250/Person 5 years and up with a family maximum of around $1150.  This program is a day longer than similar programs and includes registration into multiple day camp programs for the entire family.  This maximum would include parent workshops, speakers, Tilikum summer camp registration for the kids, overnight accommodations (5 nights/6 days), food (15 meals), academic classes, and recreation options such as canoeing, swimming, fishing (Tilikum is a private lake - no licenses are required!) archery and more.
    There may be a day camp option.  
    This would cost a little less and allow your family to attend all events  without spending the night.  You would probably need to bring your own meals, or we may be able to set you up with a meal plan to serve only certain meals.
